You Eat, We Give

We started the You Eat, We Give program in 2010, with the goal of giving 10% of sales on one day each month to a chosen nonprofit. Thanks to you, we were able to give over $1000 to local, national and international charities in 2010. In 2011, we dedicated all of our funds to one select nonprofit: water.org. Thanks to your business, we were able to donate a total of $1085 to water.org last year.

This year we're going to focus on a new noprofit: DonorsChoose.org.

DonorsChoose.org

DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that makes it easy for anyone to help students in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America post classroom project requests on DonorsChoose.org. Requests range from pencils for a poetry writing unit, to violins for a school recital, to microscope slides for a biology class. Donors can browse project requests and give any amount to the one they choose. Once a project reaches its funding goal, DonorsChoose.org deliver the materials to the school.

Our first donation date this year will be Friday, February 24. (Yes, we missed January all together. It was a busy month and time got away from us.) Please join us, and check back here to see updates on projects chosen.
